Join Lahey Hospital and Medical Center for an outstanding opportunity as Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with Cardiology/Electrophysiology. The electrophysiology NP/PA will function as a member of the electrophysiology team at Lahey Hospital Medical Center providing inpatient and outpatient services. This individual will be responsible for providing the following services: 1. Outpatient evaluation of new patients with various cardiac rhythm problems. Facilitating work up and therapeutic procedures including cardiac implanted electronic devices-CIEDs- (pacemakers and implantable defibrillators) and catheter ablation procedures. 2. Outpatient follow up for patients with CIEDs including device interrogations and evaluation of remote monitoring in the EP Device Clinic; A resource for the needs of the pacemaker ICD clinic
Outpatient follow up for patients who have undergone pacemaker/ICD implant, cardioversion, cardiac monitoring, antiarrhythmic drug therapy, endocardial ablation, left atrial appendage closure device implant. 4. Evaluation of un-scheduled “drop-in” patients, who require device interrogation or follow up from EP procedures.
Inpatient responsibilities in the Interventional Cardiology Hold Unit (ICHU) and on the medical floor.
Performs Cardioversions and Loop monitor implants/explants. Reports to LHMC Director of Cardiac Arrhythmia Service.
