Wellforce Application Analyst II, Remote Opportunity in Burlington, Massachusetts

Works collaboratively with Nursing Informatics and Clinical staff in assigned departments. Manages change requests, and break/fix support. Responsible for the implementation and support of applications, in order to meet the needs and support the workflow of Wellforce users. Supports a wide variety of applications both Cerner and third party connected systems for a department or departments as assigned. Works independently, with minimal technical guidance from senior personnel (and/or manager). Acts as a mentor for team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Consult with Nursing Informatics and assigned departments on current workflows and configuration, upgrade implications, system changes and enhancements and ongoing system maintenance

  • Complete complex full-system solution build and maintain accountability for build quality and follow up actions

  • Apply and suggest improvements to implementation methodology and consult on complex configuration decisions

  • Develop and execute complex test plan and test script execution and note changes in end user functionality

  • Review new defects, write steps to test, outline information for change requests and notify clients

  • Navigate across venues to resolve issues, propose mitigation strategies, and escalate when appropriate to team and IS leadership

  • Contribute knowledge to internal and external resources to deliver problem identification and resolution. Keeps application documentation up to date in team and site knowledge applications

    Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree and 4-6 years healthcare IT experience, or Graduate degree and 2-4 years healthcare IT experience

  • 2-3 years in Application Analyst I role or equivalent external role

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above, may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.

  • Strong technical/analytical skills demonstrated through prior healthcare IT experience

  • Ability to learn new vendor applications quickly and utilize application tools to tailor system to meet user requirements

  • Excellent customer service orientation, including good communication skills

  • Flexibility and can-do attitude

  • Must be a team player and demonstrate interest in a longer-term role

  • Passion for supporting applications in a healthcare environment
