Corporate Affairs Manager
Location: Burlington, Massachusetts
KDP’s Corporate Affairs function engages internal and external stakeholders to build KDP’s reputation and license to grow through transparency, partnerships, and positive impact. The Corporate Affairs Manager will work across the function with a focus on enhancing connections with our brands, building relationships with stakeholder groups, executing on proactive solutions to reputational issues, and managing external disclosures, including but not limited to those that are ESG-focused.
The manager will be a strong networker, able to build support and commitment at all levels across the business and be a partner to brand, and functional teams.
The ideal candidate will have a blend of experience and understanding in external affairs, issues management, stakeholder engagement, government relations, corporate ESG issues and/or cause marketing.
Responsibilities
Ensure cross-collaboration between key ESG stakeholders (e.g., Audit, Finance, Legal) to assess disclosures, opportunities for improvement, and strategize a roadmap for future disclosures, both voluntary and mandatory
Manage the ESG Leadership Committee. This entails working with the finance and internal audit teams to identify disclosure gaps and ensure compliance with mandated ESG disclosure rules, as well as voluntary reputation-building disclosures.
Support the creation of proactive corporate affairs and issues management positions, strategies and processes, collaborating with SMEs and key KDP functions to address the priority reputational issues and opportunities for the company
Monitor the external landscape - identify and act on trends, opportunities and issues
Proactively assess landscape for impactful ESG rankings and disclosures, and collaborate with Corporate Communications on submissions
Provide strategic reputation management advice and support to business functions through comprehensive issues management
Partner with sales teams and brands on external activations, content and campaigns with a focus on those that build/grow KDP reputation and address KDP corporate priorities
Support and track customer required ESG reporting on behalf of the sales team
Build relationships with key stakeholder groups and find creative and effective ways to engage
Represent KDP in external industry and partnerships forums as needed

Requirements
Requirements
6+ years’ experience in external affairs, corporate affairs, relationship management, government relations or corporate communications
Basic financial literacy preferred
Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA preferred
Preference for experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry
Understanding of the ESG stakeholders and disclosures landscape
Experience in managing and influencing corporate stakeholders
Excellent written and oral communication skills that balances creativity, accuracy and brevity
A strong networker who can build support and commitment from internal and external stakeholders
Comfortable working in cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams
Self-starter with ability for minimal oversight and bias for action
Up to 30% travel required
