Role Summary/Purpose

The Ultrasound segment, a fast-growing business within GE HealthCare, is the global leader in ultrasound medical devices and solutions. The portfolio spans the continuum of care, including screening, diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of diseases. Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) is a sub-segment of GE HealthCare Ultrasound, with focus on clinicians who take Ultrasound to the patient at the point of care (e.g., ED, CC, Anesthesia, MSK, and many others). Our products include console, laptop, and handheld ultrasound systems. Our customers are assessing or monitoring patients and need to improve efficiency and ability to document their findings and decisions into the EMR. Consequently, the need for digital solutions and automation, connecting devices and software in one seamless ecosystem. In addition, the need for partnerships both in the Digital domain and in adjacent clinical domains is becoming ever more important, to enable a rapid growth trajectory.

We are looking for a Senior Product Leader, who will envision, execute, and commercialize a forward-looking Digital strategy & roadmap for POCUS as well as drive and manage disruptive external partnerships in core and adjacent markets. This role will work very closely with the Core Product Management team, Engineering, Marketing, BD, Commercial as well as Ultrasound Digital teams, to set and execute the charter.

The Digital Product Manager must demonstrate clear strategic thinking, a strong capability to work cross-functionally across organizations, and an aptitude for driving product management lifecycles and new business models. In addition, this individual must work both externally with customers/partners at an executive level and interface with internal Digital solutions and data science teams to deliver high quality digital solutions in a fast-paced, challenging, and creative environment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Establish the strategic long-term vision for Digital solutions integrated into the POCUS Portfolio roadmap.

  • Build deep understanding of customer pain points and how digital automation can solve key problems. Build strong relationships with key customers and ensure voice of customer is reflected in the roadmap.

  • Act as the primary interface to the Ultrasound Digital Solutions teams as voice of customer for the POCUS segment to ensure alignment of roadmaps. Work closely with research teams and Ultrasound Digital teams to enable an agile data strategy.

  • Lead and support a cross functional global team to execute to the roadmap. Work with product management and technical leads to translate solution concepts into specific deliverables. Provide coaching, direction and resolve roadblocks.

  • Responsible to demonstrate revenue, margin and pull through growth for equipment, with disruptive digital offerings. Work closely with commercial and eCommerce teams globally to develop new business models for monetization.

  • Collaborate with product marketing teams to ensure commercial viability of all developed solutions.

  • Work closely with POCUS CTO, technology team and business development teams on partnerships in adjacent spaces. Evaluate business potential and inform strategic direction of various partnerships.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent. MS is desirable.

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Product Management.

  • 5+ years Medical Device experience in a digital solution space

  • Strong people management skills. Not managing people, but cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Preferred: Strong technical background and experience in driving software roadmaps across cross-functional teams.
