Summary
Chenega Security is seaking an Electronic Technician II to join the team in Burlingon, MA.
Under the supervision of the Lead Technician or Program Manager (PM), the technician will provide technical evaluation and repairs on various low-voltage systems, such as CCTV and AV systems, using common hand tools, meters, and testing equipment. have a working knowledge of network infrastructure and network troubleshooting.
You will be working at the Air Force's System Integration Lab that is at Northeastern University's Innovation Campus in Burlington, MA. You will help to maintain the lab, install/uninstall hardware, servers, cameras, sensors, etc.,
Must be able to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities
What You'll Get To Do:
Reading and adhering to blueprints and installation design plans for the installation of sub-level devices (i.e. patch panels, junction boxes) and head end equipment.
Reading and understanding component level schematic diagrams for systems, equipment and devices.
Identifying appropriate cables from drawings and running cables/fiber per installation design plans.
Repairing and maintaining electronic security system equipment.
Understanding the infrastructure relationships between trades.
Testing continuity of conductor(s) or breaks in fiber.
Terminating basic connections such as butt splices, insulated connectors, terminal strips/blocks, fiber, telecommunications, and BNC connectors.
Mounting and terminating field devices (i.e. Readers, Door Contacts, REXs, Cameras)
Install and terminating sub-level devices (i.e. patch panels, junction boxes) and head-end equipment to include power and proper grounding.
Terminating and testing voice and data connections.
Performing field verification testing.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
At least three to five years' experience in commercial/industrial or government electronic security installation & troubleshooting is required with a high school degree
Orminimum three years’ experience coupled with Graduation from an Accredited Electronic Technician / Electrical Apprenticeship Program with a high school degree
Or, minimum two years' experience with an AA/AS in Electronics from an accredited program
Orminimum one year experience with BS/BA in Electronics from an accredited program.
Canobtain a security clearance.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Must have personal transportation.
Must be capable of traveling up to 25percent of the year if required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
CSEIP Certification desired (Secure Technology Alliance Certified System Engineer ICAM PACS (CSEIP) training and certification)highly desired.
CCNA certification is highly desired
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products
Must be proficient with Test Equipment (i.e., VOM/Multi-Meter, TDR, and OTDR)
Must have skill level III Hand Tools (a complete list of required tools will be provided)
Network savvy
CADD knowledge
Safety/First Aid Training
