Actalent Engineer in Burlington, Massachusetts


  • Analyze explanted biomedical implants to determine failure mechanisms.

  • Apply theoretical and creative techniques to identify root causes.

  • Meet deadlines across multiple assignments in a collaborative environment.

  • Mentor less experienced staff and assist with complex problems.

  • Collaborate with Product Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Product Surveillance teams.

  • Define necessary test equipment for quality responsibilities.

  • Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and company policies.

  • Maintain positive communication with employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required; Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.

  • Engineering work experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of global medical device regulations and medical terminology is a plus.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and in teams while managing multiple tasks.

  • Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
