Blum Shapiro Senior Accountant - Consulting in Burlington, Massachusetts

Job Descriptions:


Support multiple client engagements, responsible for training and supervising Staff Consultants, ensuring the integrity of accounting information, preparing electronic work papers, financial statements and client communication.

Essential Functions:

  • Supervise, train and assist Staff Consultants

  • Responsible for accounting process and cash management

  • Oversees month end closing process and procedures

  • Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts (assets, liabilities & equity)

  • Analysis of all revenue and expense accounts

  • Maintain detailed general ledgers

  • Record journal entries

  • Maintain adjusted trial balances

  • Prepares and maintains electronic work paper documentation

  • Preparation of financial statements (Balance sheet, profit & loss…)

  • Secures financial information by keeping information confidential

  • Maintains accounting controls by following company policies and procedures; complying with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements

Required Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting

  • Minimum of 4 years of accounting and bookkeeping experience

  • Attention to detail

  • Organized and ability to multi-task

  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
