Oracle Senior Diversity & Inclusion Consultant in Burlington, Massachusetts

Partners with business units/divisions in delivering Corporate and Divisional HR policies and programs.

Join a leading HR group consulting with management and employees on HR practices and procedures. Manage employee relations issues and conduct investigations in support of corporate ethics and values. Participate in company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., manpower planning, salary/bonus/stock review, organizational change, performance management, and training assessment).

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Key skills and abilities include coaching, influencing, facilitation, presentation, communication, process development, analysis, and problem solving. Ability to travel. 8 years generalist experience and BA/BS degree. Experience in an HR specialty a plus.

About the Diversity & Inclusion Consultant Position:

As a Senior Diversity & Inclusion Consultant, you’ll be part of Oracle Diversity and Inclusion (D&I), which manages all aspects of D&I for Oracle US. The D&I function is part of HR and is divided into two areas – Compliance and Diversity & Inclusion Programs - this role will be part of the Programs team, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across many aspects of the D&I function. We are currently working to deliver integrated solutions to help embed D&I and employee engagement competencies, concepts, thinking, systems, and processes into the business.

D&I is a center of expertise that collaborates and partners closely with HR and other key stakeholders to assess needs, identify and recommend ideas to advance business deliverables and priorities. We are looking for the ideal candidate who is a change agent and high performer. Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Design, deliver, communicate and execute on diversity/inclusion programs, policies and guidelines to attract, retain and advance a highly skilled and talented diverse workforce.

  • Results driven in partnering and engaging with executive leaders to create and embed diversity and inclusion strategies with lines of business

  • General knowledge of tools and processes to integrate diversity/inclusiveness programs and strategies into the business.

  • Maintain project plans, manage communications, proactively identify and address project risks and opportunities as well as determine alternative ways to achieve project/program goals.

  • Experience in leading diversity initiatives/programs with reporting metrics and mechanism(s) to monitor and assess effectiveness.

  • Leverage data to make recommendations to D&I programs/initiatives, processes and procedures, and remove barriers as needed.

  • Develop and measure success criteria to assess value impact to include but not limited to: diversity and inclusion, talent acquisition, development, engagement, and retention.

  • Apply judgment in tailoring methodologies, processes and practices to specific requirements of programs/projects and business units.

  • Influence and lead small teams.

Preferred Experience and Education:

  • Minimum 4-7 years working in Diversity & Inclusion field

  • BA/BS degree in business or public administration, human resources management, organizational behavior or closely related field.

  • Proven experience in Diversity & Inclusion focus with consulting, strategy development, change management and project management.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with strong prioritization skills.

  • Experience in developing and executing diversity programs in an organization and working with external organizations and consultants focused on diversity and inclusion.

  • Proven experience in creating solutions and implementing strategies

  • Work collaboratively with executive leaders and front line management across the organization to drive change and commitment to D & I programs and initiatives.

  • Proven ability to partner and lead in the face challenging topics and situations

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate with leadership and staff at all levels.

  • Ability to understand and apply federal, state and local changes to and/or new regulations/laws pertaining to human resources and affirmative action.

  • Ability to create strategies, implement innovative solutions to improve results.

  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines within a complex, fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to make successful presentations to individuals and/or groups at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision.

  • Ability to work and add value in a team based environment.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to travel 20% post Covid
