About the Job

Position Summary: Oversees the performance of all technical procedures performed in the EMG lab under the supervision of the EMG attending. Nerve Conduction studies (NCS) are performed to access the function of peripheral nerve pathways. They are performed under general supervision of a Neurologist, Physiatrist, or clinical Neurophysiologist who provides the subsequent interpretation of the study. The NCS procedure is frequently performed in conjunction with electromyography (EMG), which is an invasive needle procedure that must be personally performed by a physician or other licensed individual.

Minimum Qualifications:

Understands and utilizes the basic principles of nerve conduction studies including digital recording equipment, such that a study can be performed and presented for interpretation.

Education: HS

Licensure, Certification, Registration: Registration or registry eligible is preferred

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: In the absence of any of these skills, demonstrates the ability to be thoroughly trained to meet organizational standards.

Experience: At least one full year in an EMG Lab.
