About the Job

The VP HRBP reports to the BILH SVP HRBP and has a dotted line reporting relationship to Hospital President. This role is critical to BILH as it aligns HR strategy with market business plans and helps leaders implement these actions within specific hospital locations and/or Operations Division. Provides consultative support and partnership to staff and leadership on all human capital matters in partnership with the Centers of Excellence (CoEs). Works in collaboration with the CoEs to support local entity on employee engagement, workforce management, talent acquisition, performance management, talent development, succession planning, diversity and inclusion, communications, and change management. The role will have direct and indirect supervisory responsibilities for all of the HRBP and Employee Relations team members assigned to supporting local entity. Serves as a coach and mentor for these positions in the department.

  11. Has the authority to direct and support managers with functional area responsibilities. Has the direct responsibility to undertake the following employment actions: hiring, termination, corrective action and performance reviews. Direct Reports: More than 7 Indirect Reports: 21-50

  12. Has full responsibility for planning, monitoring and managing department budget.

    Required Qualifications:

  13. Bachelor's degree in Business, HR or related field required. Master's degree preferred.

  14. 5-8 years related work experience required in Human Resources generalist experience across multiple disciplines. and 5-8 years supervisory/management experience required

  15. Strong project management skills, including a proven track record of leading large, complex projects using standard project management practices and tools. Be obsessed with delivering an amazing high quality end user experience with all human resources touch points and services.

  16. Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, communication, and consulting skills. Ability to assess needs, influence, collaborate, deliver and partner at the most senior levels in and across the organization.

  17. Possess knowledge of the HR functions and associated HR policies, approaches, and environmental constraints, as well as relevant HR laws and regulations.

  18. Advanced skills with Microsoft applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access and other web-based applications. May produce complex documents, perform analysis and maintain databases.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  19. Experience as a HRBP working within a multi-site system environment and working with large, widely dispersed, workforces.

  20. Labor Collective Bargaining.

  21. Workday HRM.

  25. Written Communications: Ability to communicate complex information in English effectively in writing to all levels of staff, management and external customers across functional areas.

  26. Oral Communications: Ability to verbally communicate complex concepts in English and address sensitive situations, resolve conflicts, negotiate, motivate and persuade others.

  27. Knowledge: Ability to demonstrate broad and comprehensive knowledge of theories, concepts, practices and policies with the ability to use them in complex and/or unprecedented situations across multiple functional areas.

  28. Team Work: Ability to lead collaborative teams for larger projects or groups both internal and external to the Medical Center and across functional areas. Results have implications for the management and operations of multiple areas of the organization.

  29. Customer Service: Ability to lead operational initiatives to meet or exceed customer service standards and expectations in assigned unit(s) and/or across multiple areas in a timely and respectful manner.
