AI/ML Research Engineer-Autonomy

Position Overview

At Aurora Flight Sciences, we design, build, and fly advanced aircraft and enabling technologies from concept to reality. We are searching for a talented and self-motivated AI/ML Research Engineer-Autonomy to help us create the future of flight. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

Responsibilities

-Develop and apply cutting-edge AI/ML techniques to address technical challenges in aerospace and defense applications.

-Support the rapid development of innovative demonstrations and prototypes to mature AI/ML-enabled autonomous systems, including modeling, simulation, and integration to real-world vehicles.

-Contribute to applied research and development programs in collaboration with external partners, including MIT and other institutions.

Minimum Requirements

-Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.

-Experience with machine learning algorithms and tools (e.g., PyTorch), artificial intelligence, computer vision, or natural language processing.

-Experience with software development (e.g., Python).

-Must be a US Person (US citizen or permanent resident/Green Card holder).

Preferred Requirements

-Master’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

-Experience with robotics or autonomous vehicles.

Physical Requirements

-Occasional travel may be required.

-The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at Cambridge, MA, or Manassas, VA. Proximity to one of these locations is required

Salary Range (Annualized USD)

  • Minimum Range: $62,000.00 to $110,000.00

  • Maximum Range: $75,000.00 to $134,000.00
