The Area Change Leader is a director-level role responsible for supporting teams on landing their portfolio via strong project plans and change strategies, and by driving new habits that align to the 5C’s (Culture, Consumption, Customer adds, Compete, and Country), Microsoft Leadership Principles and a growth mindset. In addition, this individual will connect regularly with critical stakeholders across a broader ecosystem in Global Sales, Marketing, & Operations (GSMO), Worldwide Commercial Business (WCB), and Marketing & Consumer Business (MCB) to share learnings and contribute to our broader transformation journey.

Lead successful sales transformation (change) planning, orchestration, strategic communication and change management
Develop a single, integrated change plan across fiscal year planning change programs, deploying practical frameworks, tools and templates to make fast progress, adapting and implementation resources to increase efficiency and business agility
Deeply understand change collateral to foster ideation, leveraging innovation to drive continuous strategic business change
Play a critical role as a team member of the Area Transformation; Support change management strategy, planning and execution (secure sponsorship)
Drive execution excellence of the Area change plan
Lead Area reinforcement and surface feedback and insights through planning rhythms
Make informed decisions and set local area Pulse Improvement plans leveraging global best-practice research, trends and expert advice
Identify local initiatives with growth potential by exploring unmet pain points; ideate new ways to solve them; develop the business case for change; and identify possible partners to develop the solution
Shape how Customers, Partner and Employees feel about their experience with Microsoft
Evangelize Microsoft’s Digital Transformation Story to inspire our Customers, Partners, Employees and Managers through local events
Prioritize time externally with customers and partner

- Field agility: lead in-field skilling for self-help resolution of local, non-systemic agility issues, v-team mobilization to drive change management for process maturity and improved deal velocity
Land an FY roll-over that enables an always-on consumption business
Drive the efficacy of sales plays and industry solutions through integrated learning and rhythms, and guided execution
Land an integrated, simplified and rich Partner share with capabilities across MSX
Deliver new MSX Insights capabilities and field best practices to drive standardization

Team player who excels in a matrixed environment
10+ years experience project managing large projects and programs
5+ years experience in change management, user adoption, landing and readiness
Strong experience managing complex projects and virtual teams
Prior people management experience preferred, but not required
Superior organizational skills, and the ability to work against aggressive timelines
Expert in building project plans, schedules, action items and driving projects with plans
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Excellent problem solving and negotiating skills
Must be self-motivated and able to work on long-term projects with limited direction
Strong understanding of the marketing content creation, management and distribution process
Strong understanding of user adoption, landing and readiness
