How will you make an impact?

Viral Vector Services is an experienced viral vector CDMO supporting gene and cell therapies, and is focused on process and analytical development, and clinical and commercial supply. With more than a decade of experience, our 500-strong, highly skilled team has managed over 100 client projects delivering first-in-human clinical materials to accelerate our client's products from the laboratory to patients in need. We work in close collaboration with each client's team to deliver successful programs. Through this, we enable the delivery of novel medicines to improve patient health with the potential to cure diseases.

What will you do?

  • Perform Environmental Monitoring (Viable Air, Non-Viable, and Surface Viable)

  • Perform Critical Utility Monitoring (WFI, Clean Steam, etc.)

  • Perform routine Microbiological assays (Bioburden, Endotoxin, etc.)

  • Review and approve testing data produced by peers

How will you get here?

  • Contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards. Considered a consultant (expert) within the group. Has complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards.

  • Review and revise department SOPs for process improvements.

  • Defines complex issues. Recommends and guides implementation of functional strategies across group.

  • Completes tasks where judgment is required in resolving problems & making recommendations.

  • Provides frequent overall departmental feedback to senior management.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences


  • At least 1 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education & experience preferred.

  • Extensive knowledge of QC testing principles and procedures, as applicable to focus of position.

  • Extensive exposure to cGMP environment.

  • Significant laboratory documentation review and revision experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Knowledge of testing and associated equipment protocols and requirements and applicable instrumentation and procedures.

  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills; written and oral.

  • Solid understanding of applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Ability to aseptically gown and/or sterile gown as needed

  • Ability to work within environmental clean rooms or laboratory setting

  • Ability to work with Spor-Klenz

  • Ability to function in a dynamic environment and balance multiple priorities simultaneously

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to write, read/review written documentation for extended periods of time. Specific vision requirements for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

  • Is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit and stand for extended periods. The employee is occasionally required to lift, stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, or crouch.

  • Position is considered essential personnel and may be required to staff the lab during inclement weather or other internal/external emergency situations

  • Occasional off shift or weekend hours may be required to meet business needs
