Cambridge Mobile Telematics AWS Security Architect Lead (Cyber Security Engineer) in Cambridge, Massachusetts

CMT is seeking an outstanding AWS Security Architect / Cyber Security Engineer Lead in our Cambridge,office, who is highly technical and enjoys hands-on engineering, to join us in building technology to help secure and protect data CMT collects and manages from sensors on smartphones and connected devices in vehicles.

As a member of our Security and Privacy group, you will help accomplish our mission by working to secure CMT’s applications and infrastructure. Responsibilities

  • As a senior contributor, architect and prototype security solutions across CMT's environments

  • Work with cross-functional group members to create strategy and execute the deployment of designed security solutions and controls to mitigate risk

  • Collaborate with development, engineering and operations groups to integrate AWS-native security solutions and procedures into their life cycles

  • Manage the selection and implementation of AWS-specific security tooling including, but not limited to, identity access management, data protection, application security, and network protection

  • Lead the planning, implementing, and testing of technical security controls and processes in the cloud

  • While collaborating with internal teams, serve as a security champion to continually improve the security posture of the organization

  • Coordinate 3rd-party security applications and network vulnerability testing. Recommend new AWS-based security solutions to benefit the CMT cloud environment

  • Validate and triage vulnerabilities by criticality level

  • Verify security systems by developing and implementing technical tests

Requirements

  • 4+ years of AWS or cloud work experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

  • Solid understanding of web/mobile security

  • Experience with AWS design and cloud security

  • Proactive mindset, with a propensity to seek out opportunities to accomplish security objectives

  • Familiarity with modern security architectures, standards and controls

  • Strong understanding of security principles for cloud-based technology

  • Working knowledge of ISO 27001 standards a plus

  • Working knowledge ISO 22301 standards a plus

  • Working knowledge of key provisions of the GDPR legislation a plus
