Aerotek Biochemist in Cambridge, Massachusetts
Description:
Job Description Support research scientists with their experiments based on company protocol, method, and procedures.
Examine and perform analysis on proteins and antibodies using general wet chemistry techniques and various instruments, such as: HPLC, Solo-VPE, MFI, AKTA, DLS, HI-AC, Viscosity
Perform animal experiments under scientist supervision where samples will be tested on sedated animals
Support scientists with the formulation of proteins and buffers as and when needed. Follow GLP and good documentation using electronic lab notebook.
Help with organizing and cleaning of lab and work environment.
Follow documentation and safety practices
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)
0-3 years related laboratory experience
MUST have at least 1 year of hands-on HPLC experience
Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a GMP environment
Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
