Editas Medicine Calibration and Preventative Maintenance Coordinator in Cambridge, Massachusetts

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate the Editas PM and Calibration program.

  • Organize and help maintain the structure of the lab, schedule refrigerator/freezer cleanings, pipette calibrations, maintain organization of the tissue culture suites, provide support on gas tanks, biohazard and chemical waste.

  • Work with EH&S consultants to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

  • Oversee space management and optimization in the lab. Manage the critical equipment alarm system and schedule.

  • Ensure that all laboratory activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, federal laws and regulations and company policies.

  • Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the laboratory operations. Establish routine standard operating procedures and protocols.


Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities:

  • Proven ability to work in a diverse and dynamic team.

  • Motivated self-starter with strong communication and time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.

Education & Relevant Work Experience:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a regulated lab setting that includes biologics, either working as a scientist or in operations.

  • Experience managing a laboratory preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills with employees and vendors.
