Job Description Summary

The Chief of Staff will be a visible strategic partner heavily involved in all aspects of the business, driving, and impacting governance, quality, and culture. This role will report and function as a thought partner to the CFO and other senior leaders in the GE Vernova Finance organization to lead effective execution of strategic priorities, business planning, and project development and management. The Chief of Staff will develop and execute plans and establish standards to support the organization’s goals, objectives, and breakthrough initiatives and increase value in the way work is done.

This individual will operate with high integrity and strive to apply sound deductive reasoning in all situations. They will be viewed as approachable and collaborative by stakeholders and peers and will consistently focus on results, even under challenging circumstances. With a “One Team” mindset, the Chief of Staff should also be perceived as a true supporter by all GE Vernova Businesses and Enabling functions.

Success in this role will require a strong understanding of business dynamics, as well as a forward-thinking approach. Analytical acumen, a solutions-oriented attitude, and strong self-motivation and influential skills are required.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Office of the CFO, working very closely with the CFO, the CFO Leadership Team, and the EA to manage projects, optimize scheduling, and prioritize workflow.

  • Partner with leadership on defining, structuring, and the communication of functional strategy and KPIs.

  • Work alongside and collaborate with other senior leaders to align on the team’s impact across its key focus areas including diversity, equity, and inclusion.

  • Partner with Communications to ensure the voice of the CFO is appropriately and effectively represented in all forums and channels.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams and leaders as needed.

  • Help to create a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability by promoting behaviors that align with the company’s values.

  • Ability to function as a team player and maintain good working relationships, yet think and act independently with professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.

  • Project development and management experience required, including the ability to develop and drive standard work.

  • A partner who can grasp and add value to the leader’s vision, while anticipating and averting problems.

  • Finance and DT knowledge preferred.

  • Experience driving business transformation; the ideal candidate has been through complex change and tough situations and maintains shrewd focus on progress while building strong relationships and proven capability of leading through influence.

  • Ability to work with under urgent or high-pressure circumstances and maintain a high-attention to detail.

  • Strong alignment with GE Vernova culture and values, including advocacy for creating diverse and inclusive environments.

  • Self-driven, highly motivated, creative and resourceful with a high-level of versatility and interpersonal intellect.

The base pay range for this position is $220,000 – $290,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus & equity. This posting is expected to close on August 30, 2024.
