    Job Description

    DIRECTOR, Lincoln Laboratory (https://www.ll.mit.edu/about) , to oversee a designated Department of Defense (DoD), federally funded research and development center (FFRDC) and a DoD research and development laboratory.     Job Requirements

REQUIRED: M.S. in relevant science and/or engineering disciplines; at least ten years of progressively responsible experience demonstrated through the successful management of innovative research and development programs; and at least five years of senior leadership experience as an executive officer or senior executive within a similarly sized, advanced research and development laboratory. Seek someone with a distinguished record of technical or scientific achievement who is recognized as a thought leader and can represent Lincoln Laboratory on prominent technical review panels and interact effectively with key sponsors, research and development partners, academic institutions, and others; knowledge of the Laboratory’s mission and capabilities and operating environment as an FFRDC and an understanding of DoD national security priorities. PREFERRED: technical senior leadership experience within an FFRDC, UARC (University Affiliated Research Center) or federally sponsored research and development entity within an academic institution. Job #23690 Position duration: five-year term, renewable Lincoln Laboratory is located in Lexington, MA. The selected candidate will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and must hold and be able to maintain a Top Secret level DoD security clearance with compartmented program eligibility.
