PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
As an Assistant Controller, you will be responsible for monitoring and assuring the quality and timely delivery of accounting services, including compliance, research, and audit responsibilities.
ATTRIBUTES OF PROFESSIONALS IN THIS ROLE
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical skills
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
Prepare monthly variance analysis of financial statements
Process invoice payments and track expenses related to acquisitions and mergers
Review bank account reconciliations and work with other departments to resolve open issues
Prepare journal entries for month end close
Review intercompany accounts and research and resolve discrepancies
Perform Treasury Management System processes for month accruals, foreign currency translations, and foreign currency revaluations
Assist in accounting entries on financial instruments and transactions
Review GL account reconciliations and communicate any issues and concerns to the Shared Service team
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
2-3 years of public accounting experience
SEC Reporting Experience
Experience using SAP or another similar ERP
Prior biotech or related experience
