EVENT PLANNING ASSISTANT, Campus Activities Complex (CAC), to be responsible for providing administrative support, handling space inquiries and reservations, and providing receptionist functions in the CAC reception area. Will provide high-quality customer service to clientele of students, staff, and faculty; work as part of a team to ensure a smooth, efficient space reservations and logistics process for customers; serve as a primary source of information regarding campus events, event locations, and space availability in the CAC; respond to a high volume of telephone, e-mail, fax, and in-person inquiries regarding the scheduling of CAC facilities; review, approve, and process a significant number of daily space applications forms and virtual space requests; coordinate the vendor program, personal events scheduling, card reader programming, sandwich board and equipment rentals, and mascot programming including Team Tim; and be responsible for the scheduling and billing for personal events, including weddings, memorial services, and the like. Job Requirements

REQUIRED: three years of direct/related experience; ability to work both with minimal supervision and as part of a team; excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; detail-orientation; skill with active listening; and ability to work with frequent interruptions while providing effective customer service. Experience multitasking and working in a fast-paced office would be a plus. Excellent computer skills are highly desired. Familiarity with event processes and EMS software would be helpful, although training is available. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred. Job #16144-5 6/13/18
