EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT, School of Engineering (SoE) - Dean's Office, to provide complex administrative support to the Dean and Chief Innovation and Strategy Officer; initiate, organize, and implement systems and procedures to efficiently manage the Dean’s activities, including helping on special projects, reports and presentation preparations; ensure consistent, timely, and proactive administrative support to the Dean and the strategic plan and vision for the SoE; blend administrative support and project-focused responsibilities which include faculty affairs calendar/travel management, event planning and budget monitoring and reconciliation; and strategize with the Dean and Senior Leadership to advance the goals of School and department projects.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent; a minimum of seven years of administrative, office, or related experience; solid organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to handle a fast-paced, multi-taskwork environment with changing priorities and limited supervision; excellent project management skills, solid attention to detail, and the proven ability to multi-task with demanding time frames; excellent writing skills together with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of faculty, staff, and students both verbally and in writing; ability to use high-level discretion, maintain a high level of confidentiality, and provide high-quality customer service; experience with managing complex calendars and travel arrangements along with experience with coordinating logistics for meetings and events; and advanced technical and computer skills to support administrative functions including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and shared document environments such as SharePoint, Dropbox, Google docs. PREFERRED: Bachelor’s degree and administrative experience in a higher education institution; experience working for a senior leader; and MIT experience. Job #24845-8
Must be available to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
Because of the nature of the duties, this full-time position requires at least 4-days per week on site.
