    Job Description

FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATOR II, School of Science (SoS), to handle compliance and approvals for procurement card purchases, requisitions, invoices, travel expense reports, and requests for reimbursement, enforcing policy and guiding office staff. Will manage scholarly allowance access and spending for Dean’s Fellows; conduct finance review and control on a portion of transactions in the Dean’s Office, account monitoring, and oversight of payroll and other expenses on gifts and funds; make budget transfers and journal vouchers to provide internal funding according to the dean’s commitments, and coordinate with Dean’s Office staff to maintain accurate commitment records; support the management of endowed professorship funds; partner with SFO to develop and implement new finance tools and processes within the Dean’s Office; maintains up-to-date guidance, policy, and program information on SoS’s website, SoS Canvas site for administrators, and in-team notion pages; run and support processes that facilitate the use of the dean’s resources such as solicitations for internal funding proposals, the allocation of fellowship funding, and collaboration with the Dean’s Office development team; support the administrative process in the finance team’s space responsibilities; and handle other projects as assigned. Job Requirements

REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree; at least three years’ relevant financial management experience; experience in academic programs and administration; excellent organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills; attention to detail; sound judgment and ability to learn and apply new policies and procedures; service orientation; ability to multitask and perform hands-on work in a team-based work group; and experience with financial systems, excellent computer skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and SAP.
