Join our patient monitoring information center software development team as a software engineer in a fast-paced, high energy, and exciting work environment. Our industry leading products push the cutting-edge of clinical and hospital information technology in the patient monitoring field. You are responsible for
Develop software on a highly motivated software development team focused on the creation of next generation medical information systems
Translate user requirements into innovative solutions using the latest technology
Write clear specifications, create detailed technical designs, and implement creative software solutions
Show exceptional teamwork to meet commitments to our customers
Review code and provide technical feedback and direction
You will be a part of
A team of 50+ engineers for a $200 million product, PIIC iX, that was built from scratch using MS and Web technologies (C#, Visual Studio, SQL Server, Angular) and work with the Architect; this product connects thousands of Patient Monitors within the walls of thousands of the largest hospitals across the world. Our software displays, analyzes, stores, and integrates acquired patient physiological data across dozens of hospitals systems.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program majoring in Computer Science
An experienced developer who can architect, design, code, and test complex solutions
Possess solid understanding of object oriented software development concepts and methodologies
Motivated to learn and put knowledge to work
Experience with PC or Mac development using the latest Apple, Google and Microsoft technologies
Expertise with microservices, containers, and related technologies include K8s and docker
Expertise with CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and GitHub
Proficient at software design, debugging / troubleshooting, etc.
Experience taking projects from beginning to end through all the phases of the software development life-cycle
Working knowledge of databases, network protocols, and system performance is desirable but not required
Able to coach/mentor other software engineers
Self-motivated with good organizational and time management skills
Strong problem solving skills and the ability to produce high quality work independently.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
