Experis IT ManpowerGroup has partnered with a leading university in the Cambridge, MA area for a Contract Health Assistant role to assist their team. This is an on-site role.

Title: Health Assistant

Location: ONSITE– (Cambridge, MA)

Duration: 3 months (Contract)

Shift: M-F 8am-5pm

Pay range: $23-$26 per hour.

Job Description:

The Medical Secretary or Health Assistant I provides assistance in delivering high quality health care and exceptional customer service in a busy ambulatory care clinic serving the Harvard community. Serves as the primary contact with patients and provides general administrative support to physicians, nurse practitioners, and nurses on the team.

Duties include: Greeting and assisting patients at the clinics front desk, answering the clinic's telephones and routing messages to providers, scheduling and confirming clinical appointments, tracking immunization history, coordinating referrals, processing incoming and outgoing clinical correspondence, maintaining files, processing and tracking outside referrals, and managing patient flow. Perform other related duties as needed.

Required - One to two years of previous secretarial/administrative assistant experience. Education beyond high school.

Preferred - Graduate of a business/secretarial school or Medical Assistant program. Experience working with an electronic medical record. Health care/patient service experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Requirements:

• Able to bend, crawl, stoop, sit, lift and move 50 pounds of weight.

• Availability to work both scheduled and unscheduled overtime.

• Participate in assigned work during non-traditional workdays, holidays and shift work.

• Onsite customer facing experience.

• Technical/mechanical hardware repair experience.

• Demonstrated technical/mechanical aptitude for learning new technology.

• High School diploma or equivalent, plus additional hardware technology training. College preferred.
