    Job Description

HUMAN RESOURCES (HR) COORDINATOR, Computer Sciences and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL), to provide HR services and support. Will coordinate HR activities and provide advice on related policies, procedures, and best practices; assist faculty and managers with recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, HR policy interpretation and guidance, and personnel recordkeeping; and perform a variety of other HR-related duties. Job Requirements

REQUIRED: B.A./B.S. in HR or related field; two years’ direct HR experience in areas such as recruitment, employee relations, compensation, policies/procedures, onboarding, labor relations, performance management, and training; ability to apply general HR policies, regulations, and employment laws; discretion with confidential and highly sensitive information; excellent organizational, analytical, active listening, problem-solving, customer service, and written and verbal communication skills; self-motivation; attention to detail and quality; proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and the internet; and knowledge of or ability to learn HR management systems. Must be able to earn trust and credibility, respond effectively to people at all levels, and work collaboratively in a team-based environment; establish self as a “go-to” HR resource for the team, faculty, and employees; anticipate problems and work independently to seek out answers and/or resources; adapt to changing work conditions and assignments; and prioritize competing work assignments, follow through on assignments, meet deadlines, and keep team members and employees informed of progress. PREFERRED: experience with applicant tracking and performance management software; ability to analyze and improve or create processes/procedures; knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws; and project and process management skills.
