PSG Global Solutions Laboratory Services Assistant in Cambridge, Massachusetts

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Laboratory Services Assistant , working in the Pharmaceuticals & Medical Products industry in Cambridge, Massachusetts .

  • ´╗┐Places and processes orders and ensures that items are delivered in a timely manner.

  • Participates in researching and negotiating recurring purchases.

  • Coordinates with suppliers on contracts and reorders of goods and services.

  • Receives packages and reconciles receipt of materials with purchase orders.

  • Monitors usage history of goods & inventory stock items and maintains inventory for office supplies.

Experience Required for Your Success

  • ´╗┐Associates degree or experience equivalent in biotechnology, science or related field

  • 2+ years experience in academic or pharmaceutical laboratory setting

  • Experience in the biotechnology field and familiarity with NetSuite or other purchasing software is a plus

  • Previous laboratory purchasing experience and be accustomed to using a computerized system for processing purchase orders

  • Skilled at using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication

  • Ability to work and communicate effectively in a matrix environment

  • Detail-oriented and possess excellent organizational skills

  • Good communication skills and the ability to multitask and excellent problem-solving skills

  • Highly organized and excellent attention to detail required

  • Must be a team player and work effectively across departments

  • EH&S experience with DOT and RCRA training a plus
