3 years of progressively responsible experience as an application administrator or end of the line support;
1-2 years of experience with instructional/learning technologies design principles, practices, and/or theories.
Additional Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, technology, management information systems, computer engineering, or a similar degree and/or equivalent related work experience.
Recent experience with the administration of Canvas, Panopto, Zoom, and Salesforce Communities, preferably in a higher education environment.
Experience with other instructional technologies such as polling systems and collaboration tools.
Demonstrated understanding of product management and development principles, as well as the entire Software Development Life Cycle.
Experience with custom-built products preferred.
Experience with Agile software development, supporting custom web applications, and administering cloud based vendor technologies;
Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, and self-organization skills.

Additional Information:This position is approved as a term appointment with an end date of 6/30/23. There is a possibility of renewal/extension.
During the current period of COVID-19 related restrictions, this position may start as a remote position with a transition to onsite/remote at HBS campus in Boston, MA when the office reopens.

Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and manages tier II support requests for learning technologies including LMS systems, video asset management tools, web conferencing, custom web applications, and polling software;
Escalates support requests to both HBS software development teams and third-party vendors, as required, and manages them to resolution;
Engages with project teams to provide subject matter expertise, assist in development of user stories in alignment with customer use cases and service strategy, and acts as the voice of the customer;
Manages a backlog of feature requests and defects through regular backlog grooming of applications in the service portfolio;
Proactively identifies and mitigates potential service disruptions related to learning applications including reviewing vendor release notes, testing configuration changes, and identifying risks related to ongoing maintenance work in the ecosystems.
Works within the School’s existing infrastructure to assist in development, testing, and implementing of upgrades;
Develops and maintains up-to-date documentation for the portfolio;
Has deep knowledge of current industry trends, staying abreast of changes as they occur in order to provide leadership in that arena for the School;
Develops strong relationships with faculty, students, support staff, instructional designers, third party vendors, and technical staff to ensure the effective use of tools to enhance learning;
Participates in the evaluation of other instructional technology tools that might be used to supplement the current environment and;
Self-manages, tracks, and prioritizes tasks across multiple work streams;

Job Summary:As part of Educational and Technology Services (EATS), the Learning Technologies (LT) Administrator participates in the development, operation and maintenance of scholarly systems in support of HBS’s academic mission. The LT Administrator is responsible for and provides technical leadership in support of the School’s learning technologies and learning management systems (LMS). The LT Administrator is the primary administrator for the School’s learning technologies and learning management systems, and is responsible for the operational support and maintenance of resources used for instructional functions. The LT Administrator works closely with project teams and oversees regular system updates and upgrades.
