Job Title : Senior Manufacturing Scheduler

Location : Cambridge, MA

About the role:

As a Senior Manufacturing Scheduler, you will create and maintain the daily manufacturing production schedule for the Alewife and 200SW Cell Bank manufacturing facilities. You will work at the Site that enables 24-hour manufacturing of product, ensuring product supply meets Global patient demand. You will support the Production Control Specialist team in multiple tasks to ensure material flow and availability to support manufacturing operations. You will report to the S&OP Manager.

How you will contribute:

  • Develop and maintain manufacturing schedule and ensure that Excel-based schedules/SAP align with the Site Master Production Schedule (MPS).

  • Provide analytical support, planning, and scheduling of manufacturing and manufacturing support related activities to meet patient demand. Scheduled activities include upstream and downstream Elaprase production, cell bank production, routine maintenance (Preventative Maintenance, Calibrations), and Project work.

  • Schedule and maintain Solution (buffer/media) schedule to support daily production.

  • Ensure all GMP documentation (MBR/Form Prep) requests are completed to align with upstream / downstream production planning.

  • Determine appropriate batch size and production version for all process orders.

  • Respond to and support schedule change requirements and scenario planning.

  • Support Production Control Specialist team in ensuring material availability to support manufacturing production schedule.

  • Maintain process specs and recipes. Review MFG issuance of material to production orders.

  • Release and manage production orders. Help in reconciliation of floor stock inventory.

  • Use MRP and the production schedule to order raw materials and parts from the warehouse to maintain production quotas while analyzing part balances to curb line stoppage.

  • Collaborate and work with representatives across all MA Bio Ops functions (Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Facilities, Finance, Validation, Manufacturing Science, Quality Control and Quality Assurance).

What you bring to Takeda:

  • High school diploma (or equivalent). Associates degree or higher would be ideal.

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience with SAP, Infor, or other manufacturing scheduling tools.

  • Materials Planning experience.

  • Experience in cGMP manufacturing environment, Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry would be ideal.

  • Business or technical background preferred (Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing).

  • Experience with SAP systems applied to a complex manufacturing environment.

Important Considerations

At Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. In this role, you may:

  • May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and other clean room garments daily. This may include safety shoes, safety glasses, aprons, face shields, lab coats, full body gowns, hair nets and gloves and hearing protection.

  • Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.

  • Work in a cold, wet environment.

  • Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours, as necessary.

  • Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$84,000.00 - $132,000.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
