Location: Cambridge, MA (Hybrid – 2 to 3 days onsite)

Job Description:

Our client is looking for a Master Planner to join their dynamic, high-volume department, to facilitate planning, scheduling, and earned value management. The Master Planner is responsible for scheduling, compliance, development, reporting, analysis, and risk assessment activities. The Master Planner will be accountable for developing and maintaining Program Integrated Master Plans and schedules associated with the entire project lifecycle. The Master Planner will support the Program office in developing and implementing scheduling and Earned Value best practices and standard work templates to enhance efficiencies in program execution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Develop and maintain compliant Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for projects across their entire lifecycle.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct recurring monthly status updates and ensure alignment with program objectives.

  • Ensure IMS compliance with customer requirements throughout all phases, including both commercial and government contracts.

  • Resource-load the IMS with applicable scope, target budgets, and integrate cost and schedule effectively.

  • Coordinate closely with the Earned Value Management (EVM) team to manage EVM change requests, meet monthly deadlines, and prepare accurate reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required (Master’s degree is preferred), or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project and program management, specifically focusing on scheduling.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, with expertise in critical path analysis, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) management, schedule resource leveling, and actual work hour collection.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and adaptability to changing priorities.

  • Candidates must be a United States Citizen.
