Department:Harvard FCU Mortgage ProcessingPre-Employment Screening:Criminal, Identity, Prohibited PartiesJob Function:Finance Position Description:

  • Review and monitor the mortgage pipeline to ensure all important dates are targeted; assist with loan assignments as needed.

  • Use various software platforms to gather, sort, and process documents primarily on Home Equity Lines of Credit and Home Equity Loans according to credit union/investor guidelines.

  • Order services, including appraisal reports, title reports, flood zone certificates and other services as needed. Set up initial loan conditions and ensure accurate loan pricing for transactions.

  • Monitor receipt of supporting documents, disclosures, and tax transcripts and upload them to loan file.

  • Monitor receipt of appraisal and processes reports through Fannie Mae portal.

  • Generate disclosures that accurately reflect pricing and loan terms, and are issued in compliance with regulator timelines.

  • Maintain frequent communications with the appraiser and title vendor to ensure timely delivery of services remain current on any issues these vendors may encounter.

  • Provide ongoing communication to Mortgage Origination staff regarding statuses of key events and proactively communicate known or potential issues with applications.

  • Perform timely retrieval and review of electronic documents.

  • Perform and submit preliminary file underwriting to the underwriting team. Ensure all required supporting documents are included, and the application has been updated to reflect the supporting documentation data.

  • Respond to auditors’ requests.

  • Communicate directly with members with regards to additional documentation requirements, loan statuses, and respond to member inquiries.

  • Assist with testing and roll out of new processes, procedures, and technology.

  • Remain current on all compliance and regulatory issues.

  • Perform related or unrelated functions as assigned or requested.

Under the direction of the Mortgage Underwriting Manager performs a variety of functions with the Mortgage Production Department.
