What will you do?
Assist in planning, scheduling, creating, and implementing training courses and material in support of the Manufacturing department
Enhance productivity and quality of work by developing effective training material such as, OJTs, power point slides, etc.
Promote safe work habits and adhere to safety procedures and guidelines
Communicate with the Operations team to identify training needs
Create instructional materials to be used in training
Assist with logistics, reports, materials, observations, and other projects as needed
Specific duties will vary with availability, requirements, and priorities.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) & Hands-On Training
Reviews, revises, and prepares procedures/Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for compliance to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and to reflect current work activities in Operations department
Ensures procedures/SOPs are regularly reviewed and kept up to date with proper approvals
Supports the development of training material and lead training sessions for new hires and Operations staff
Training and Process Improvements
Prepares materials for informal and formal training
Assesses requirements of employees within Operations department and designs evaluation methods
Coordinates, conducts, and documents training sessions as required
Works with Operations Personnel to identify training and process improvements
- Collects and analyzes Operations training metrics and identify potential projects/solutions
How will you get there?
High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree + certificate program in Life Sciences, Training or Learning and Development preferred.
3-5 years' industry related or relevant experience strongly preferred; or 2+ years with relevant degree
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Previous training experience in the pharmaceutical industry would be an asset
Knowledge of cGMP requirements and pharmaceutical processing regulations
Able to gown into and work in cleanroom environments
Able to function in a dynamic environment and learn new equipment, software and tools quickly
Strong team building, communication, and organizational skills
Excellent computer skills, including the ability to develop spreadsheets, presentations, and reports
Excellent written and oral skills
Detail oriented and organized, with a high degree of accuracy and thoroughness
Excellent interpersonal skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, excel)
Proficiency with the English language.
