Position Description
A postdoctoral position is available in Prof. Gage Hills’ Nano-Design Group at Harvard University. We are looking for candidates with a strong background in designing and testing high-speed transceiver circuits, with applications including high-performance electronic-photonic integrated circuits. For the post-doc position, the primary concentration would be on the electrical circuit design side, with expertise including:
CMOS GHz analog front end for high-speed transceivers building blocks (data converters, power amplifiers, etc.)
On-chip high-accuracy controllable oscillators for modulation and digital logic (VCOs, PLLs, etc.)
On-chip wireless communication systems (THz antennas, LNAs, mixers, etc.)
Basic Qualifications
Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or closely related field is required by the start date.
Additional Qualifications
Experience with integrated optics and photonics, electro-optical modulators (MZIs, MRRs, etc.)
Experience with electronic design automation tools for high-frequency electromagnetic simulations
Background in mathematics, statistics, noise analysis
Willingness to expand technical skillset into new areas
Strong interpersonal and mentorship skills and ability, passion for mentoring PhD students and undergraduate researchers
Strong communication skills and presentation skills
