What You'll Be Doing:

As a postdoctoral fellow in our Research Laboratories you will work with a highly collaborative team of scientists at the Exploratory Science Center at Cambridge, MA to uncover immune regulation and mechanisms that result in specific and non-specific vaccine responses. The Exploratory Science Center provides a unique experience to contribute to our drug discovery efforts at the earliest stages of the process. To this end, we strive to create a fast-paced, nimble and flexible environment of creativity, invention and teamwork. This position will provide a unique opportunity to be exposed to cellular and molecular immunology and infectious disease research both within the Exploratory Science Center and across other sites. With access to our proven global R&D organization, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with talented and dedicated colleagues while developing and expanding your career.

You will focus on deciphering various vaccine mechanism of action, effects on innate immune memory and outcome on host health in infection models.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Demonstrate deep scientific and technical expertise to advance our understanding of vaccine effects on innate and adaptive immune memory.

  • Plan, design and execute experiments using animal models for vaccine evaluation.

  • Leverage the breadth of expertise and resources available across the organization.

  • Employ targeted cellular and molecular biology techniques to dissect in-vivo observations and uncover underlying mechanisms.

  • Identify and test novel signatures using in vitro and in vivo systems and generate novel therapeutic angles for future research and development that ultimately contribute to next generation vaccines.

  • Maintain experimental records in an electronic notebook, communicate findings to multidisciplinary teams, produce high-impact publications and present at scientific conferences

What You Need:
