Philips Product Manager in Cambridge, Massachusetts

You are responsible for

  • Customer and Market Insights: Analyze the market, the competition, and trends on a global level across segment technologies to ensure the product portfolio is meeting the market’s needs and expectations. Develop and maintain needs-based customer segmentation requirements (across global markets and supported by Market Intelligence).

  • Translate in-depth market and customer insights, as well as competitive analyses into winning concepts and clear product specifications for the release train, in such a way that short-, mid-, and long-term sound business results can be achieved

  • Create Value Propositions based on customer personas and opportunity areas for lead markets

  • Guide and drive the development of new products from opportunity identification until product release, including cross-business solution development for our customers by meeting their needs, developing the optimal combination of performance and price in time for the defined market segment.

  • Collaborate with various disciplines including Philips Research, R&D departments, internal and external design agencies, manufacturing units or external suppliers, marketing management, marketing communication and market sales organizations.

  • Responsible for marketing activities for the products / solutions, including strategy definition and its enablers, as well as its alignment with key markets globally.

  • Develop and maintain Portfolio, Product, and Clinical claims roadmaps

  • Develop, update, and track product and solution Business Cases

  • Price setting and margin optimization

  • Channel Strategy for assigned product portfolio

  • Product demand forecasting

  • Compliance with Quality & Regulatory requirements (if applicable)

  • Responsible for lifecycle management and market readiness as part of PDLM. Ensure completion of appropriate deliverables (feature descriptions, value propositions, costing/pricing/quoting materials, etc.)

You are a part of

The Medical Consumables & Sensors business.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject area (Business/Strategic marketing, Economics, etc). MBA preferred.

  • 5+ years’ experience in an international business environment

  • Experience working in global matrix organizations

  • Experience in working in R&D heavy organizations

  • Conceptual thinking, organizational, and communication skills that allow you to influence and motivate others

  • Broad interest and ability to communicate with different ‘layers’ in the organization; build and maintain extensive networks and ‘connect the dots’

  • Highly entrepreneurial mindset and real aptitude for business that motivates and inspires your environment and creates momentum behind your ideas
