Abt Associates Program Operations Administrator - Grants Under Contract in Cambridge, Massachusetts
Efficiencies for Clinical HIV Outcomes (ECHO) is a $209 million project to support the Government of Mozambique’s achievement of HIV/AIDS epidemic control and establishing a sustainable, government-led HIV response by 2023 in provinces where USAID is the primary clinical support partner. The program operations administrator, grants under contract, will provide home office support to the Mozambique-based Grants Management team.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Lead Home Office support for Grants under Contract
Coordinate between Abt’s international accounting team, audit departments, and Mozambique-based grants management team
Supports updating of grants manual
Supports selection of grantees and collection of required documentation
Monitors compliance of grantees
Reviews grantee advance requests and reconciliations
Analyzes grants spending and prepares grants projections
Advises the project team on various issues related to grants
Supports and mentors the project’s grants team
At least six years of experience supporting operations in USAID-funded projects
At least 2 years of substantive experience supporting grants under contract in USAID-funded projects
Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in USAID grant requirements
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, multi-task, and be detailed-oriented
Ability to work in teams, including supporting and mentoring team members
Portuguese language skills highly desired; If no Portuguese skills, advanced Spanish required
Bachelor’s Degree + Five years of relevant experience, or Master’s Degree + Three years of relevant experience, or PhD
