Additional Qualifications and Skills:

  • One year of related work experience (relevant coursework may count towards experience).

  • Demonstrated abilities in laboratory techniques required.

  • High level of manual dexterity and attention to detail required.

  • Appropriate communications skills required.

  • Prior experience with EM techniques is preferred.

Additional Information:This is an in-person position based on our campus in Boston.

This is a 12-month term appointment with the possibility of renewal contingent on funding.

Department:NeurobiologyPre-Employment Screening:Identity Schedule:​35 hrs. per week | Monday - Friday | 9:00 am - 5:00 pmJob Function:Research Position Description:The duties and responsibilities of the data acquisition technician will include all aspects of electron and X-ray microscopy (EM and XNH), including sample preparation, sectioning, staining, data acquisition, and data pre-processing. Will be engaged in collaborative efforts and train new users. Will also be expected to contribute to continuing development of high-throughput connectomic methods by reporting, troubleshooting, and advancing workflows for new projects.
