Job Description
SENIOR RESEARCH SUPPORT ASSOCIATE, Imperiali Lab, Biology (full- or part-time), to assist with protein expression, purification, and analysis and help spearhead general lab organization and upkeep with input from lab members. Routine tasks will also include preparing stock solutions, autoclaving, and running assays.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; exposure to a research lab; solid working knowledge of protein biochemistry; basic computer skills; commitment to meeting high quality standards by paying meticulous attention to detail and practicing rigorous documentation skills; familiarity with basic chemical and biological safety practices and the ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment; experience with routine biological and biochemical techniques and willingness to learn new methods; proficiency with standard data management programs (Excel); self-motivation; and good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. PREFERRED: bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, or related field.
