Job Title: Security Operations Analyst
Location : Cambridge, MA
Duration: 6+ Months
Candidates need to be a US Citizen as the Laboratory is a cleared facility.
*A Secret Clearance without Incident or the ability to acquire a security clearance is required for this role.

The Security Operations Analyst is responsible for implementing, troubleshooting and supporting information security infrastructure. This infrastructure includes technologies such as Web Proxies, VPN, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Vulnerability Management Systems (VMS), and related security technologies.
The position must work closely with other members of the Information Security team to monitor and maintain company security systems, mitigating threats to the company’s network.
Responsible for day to day support and maintenance of security infrastructure systems
Act in a primary or secondary support role for multiple systems, including Web Proxies, VPN, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Vulnerability Management Systems (VMS), and related security technologies.
Responsible for day to day support and maintenance of security infrastructure systems (e.g. HIPS, EPO, firewalls, VPN, Access Control, Vulnerability Scanning software, etc)
Duties include but are not limited to system troubleshooting, vendor coordination, OS patching and updating
Ensure all devices are under configuration management, receiving signature updates, and maintain operational readiness
Monitor performance metrics and log data for continuous improvement and tuning to match current threats
Provide emergency support to the Incident Response team when required
Maintain and update documentation for supported systems, including daily procedures
Support other Information Services groups in troubleshooting and solving issues with supported technologies
Evaluate new security devices, and collaborate with other team members on deployment of new technologies
Work closely with other team members to review existing policy and procedures, as well as developing new artifacts when appropriate
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technologies, Engineering OR equivalent experience required
2-3 years' experience in IT Security or Systems Administration roles
Broad technical background encompassing both network and systems security, and the ability to troubleshoot issues across both
Knowledge of security technologies including Web Proxies, VPN, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Vulnerability Management Systems (VMS)
Occasional off-hour/on-call support is necessary to support maintenance windows
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance required
