SENIOR ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, Sloan School of Management-Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Office, to provide operational support for the DEI office and team. Will provide internal and external customer service; develop/maintain offices processes, initiating changes and updates to manuals and procedures for own area; serve as a partner to the administrative support team in the Office of the Dean; provide financial management for budgets and accounts in the DEI Office; handle meeting and event planning, coordinating, and execution; arrange domestic and international travel, submit expense reports for travel, and coordinate complex itineraries for DEI staff and guests; and provide course support for associate dean.
REQUIRED: high school diploma or equivalent; five years’ administrative, office, or related experience; desire to work on a diverse team of highly-motivated professionals who play an important role in implementing the school’s DEI strategy and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion; service orientation; comfort working in a fast-paced environment; excellent organizational, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills; meticulous attention to detail; ability to manage a high volume of work; self-motivation; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and work both independently and as a team member with minimal supervision; flexible approach to the work; tact and discretion with sensitive and confidential matters; and comfort interacting with high-visibility executives, highly motivated students, and leaders of other MIT offices. PREFERRED: bachelor’s degree; MIT or other university experience; experience supporting members of senior administration; proficiency with standard PC applications, including Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint), SAP, Concur, and ECAT; and familiarity with MIT financial processes.
