Additional Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience in a business systems analysis or similar information technology role.

  • 3+ years’ experience implementing large scale technology solutions in a highly decentralized environment.

  • Experience in product management or product ownership, ideally within the healthcare sector.

  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management and best practices for driving product success.

  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams

  • Proven:

  • experience in stakeholder management and the ability to communicate effectively across different levels of the organization.

  • ability to quickly assimilate new technology and/or applications required.

  • Demonstrates:

  • adaptability, flexibility and the ability to get up to speed quickly in a decentralized business environment with complex enterprise applications.

  • experience with Agile methodologies preferred.

  • Must:

  • demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organization, analytical, and written and oral communication skills.

  • have proven ability to initiate and manage multiple tasks under competing deadlines and shifting priorities.

  • Able to work independently and within small and large teams.

  • Advanced desktop application skills including Word, MS Project, Access, PowerPoint, and Visio.

This is a fully benefitted, full-time Harvard University position that has been funded through 6/30/2028. There is a possibility of renewal, contingent on funding, university policies and satisfactory job performance.

Reporting to the HUIT Campus Systems Associate Director managing the EH&S portfolio, the Senior Business Systems Analyst serves as the primary solutions consultant, supporting the implementation, roll-out and on-going support of a university-wide occupational medicine information system and related solutions. This role is a key contributor on the Campus Systems team that supports, enhances, and delivers services for the Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) organization at Harvard University.

As a solutions consultant, this role will build strong relationships with the Director of Occupational Health and other key stakeholders. The Senior Business Systems Analyst will become well-versed in occupational medicine services and related systems at Harvard to support and identify opportunities for technology solutions that increase the efficiency and effectiveness of these services and systems.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Acts as the central link between business stakeholders and the project and technical teams, ensuring that the product vision aligns with customer needs and business objectives.

  • Works closely with stakeholders to define and communicate the product vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment of the technology solution with business goals and regulatory and compliance requirements.

  • Supports the:

  • requirements gathering and selection of an occupational medicine information system.

  • configuration, implementation, and roll-out of the occupational medicine information system in support of the University Occupational Health Program.

  • Maintains list of possible functional improvements to the occupational medicine information system, in support of mapping out the evolution of the platform.

  • Participates in:

  • QA activities to test system functionality and validate new products, enhancements, bug fixes, and patches.

  • team-wide Agile practices to maximize team collaboration and delivery of value to stakeholders: sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, daily standups and task board utilization.

  • Serves as an escalation point for Tier III support issues and root cause analysis.

  • Ensure confidentiality of Occupational Health information within the scope of their work.

  • And performs other duties as assigned.
