  • MBA or an equivalent advanced degree is required.

  • In addition to the required experience listed above, we also require an additional 5 years of relevant experience in a leading, service-driven organization or institution.

Additional/Desired Qualifications:

  • An executive who is a strategic thinker, with entrepreneurial spirit and a high degree of familiarity and comfort with an external facing leadership position.

  • Deep knowledge and understanding of executive development and learning, and educational program design, delivery, and execution; having one or more relevant areas of subject matter expertise is a plus.

  • A proven track record as a successful strategic business developer, with the ability to cultivate and maintain productive long-term relationships with senior executives (including C-suite) in large organizations across industry sectors, functional areas, and geographies.

  • A team player and strong client partner with a willingness and ability to work collaboratively with multiple external and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of business activities toward optimal client outcomes.

  • A highly effective communicator and active listener, with outstanding judgment, discretion and keen diplomatic skills.

Additional Information:This role is offered as a hybrid (some combination of onsite and remote) where you are required to be onsite at our Boston, MA-based campus 2-3 days per week. Specific days and schedules will be determined between you and your manager.

Position Description:This role is central to driving Harvard Business School (HBS’s ) strategy with respect to integrated and enterprise learning solutions, with a focus on creating partnerships with global organizations to design and develop solutions addressing their most strategic leadership and executive development needs. The enterprise learning strategy centers on bringing to bear the full range of HBS’ capabilities to each client engagement: world class in-person residential programs, blended and virtual programs, and in-depth asynchronous courses that offer highly scalable personalized digital learning experiences.

  • Operating at the C-Suite level, responsible for ensuring the overall success of a targeted portfolio of key institutional client relationships and executive leadership development program engagements. Success is determined by metrics established collaboratively with each individual client, as well as financial ROI and profitability.

  • Actively cultivate institutional client relationships at the most senior levels of organizations, identifying opportunities that both have the potential for greatest impact on client success and advance the School’s intellectual agency.

  • Partner with clients to assess strategic challenges and opportunities and design “best-in-class” solutions, drawing on the full range of HBS capabilities.

  • While not a faculty position, this role will have the opportunity to teach and/or facilitate some program sessions for clients in their portfolio and/or co-chair several programs with senior faculty in service of solidifying strategic client relationships.

  • Work closely with individual HBS faculty and administration (program engagement and delivery) in a cross-functional environment, serving as the client’s HBS engagement leader to ensure effective solutions development and execution.

  • As a senior relationship manager for integrated and enterprise-wide client solutions this role will have an expert understanding of HBS’s existing intellectual capital and the extensive range of its current educational offerings.

  • Stay informed of emerging trends in executive/leadership development and envision new areas of intellectual capital investment and capability development.

  • Actively lead small pursuit teams from across the School’s business units in RFP responses and proposal development, often in collaboration with HBS faculty.

  • Participate in or lead special initiatives and/or experiments sponsored by senior level executives in pursuit of new offerings or capabilities.

  • Provide advice and guidance to support and develop staff who sell and lead client engagements.

  • This role is also responsible for other duties as assigned.
