The Opportunity

As the Senior Director of Data Analytics, you will lead the management of traditional and advanced analytics delivery across dimensions of people, processes, and technologies. In this role, you will work directly with solutions, market, and project delivery teams to ensure consistently high-quality delivery of data and code products across Abt’s US Domestic practice with a strong focus on health-focused accounts.

Core Responsibilities

  • Management and growth of traditional and advanced analytics capabilities across Abt’s US Domestic practice, with a focus on health-focused accounts and agencies.

  • Lead the continuous modernization of Abt’s analytics operating model across dimensions of people, process, technology, and partnerships, tied to client needs, including the management of domain expertise in client data, programs, and data technology platforms as central to value and growth.

  • Lead the ideation, development, and delivery of differentiated analytics products and solutions that meet prospective client needs. Define solutions architectures for AI-ready, integrated data solutions that combine leading edge hardware, software, networking, storage, and differentiated data products to build integrated analytics solutions.

  • Engage in client management activities, leading client meetings and targeted discussions with client policy and technology teams. Lead the design and development of overarching solutions architectures.

  • Work collaboratively across the enterprise to manage and grow Abt’s ecosystem of data and data partners, including rights to use data, differentiated data partners, Abt’s analytics platform technologies and associated ATOs, as well as modern “Ops” processes like DevSecOps, DataOps, and MLOps.

  • Management of a large, multi-faceted, and highly talented analytics organization with deep specialization and expertise in statistical programming, analytics code development, advanced analytics and data science, and automation. Shadow management of team financials including project utilization and burden, capture and proposals, and return on investment.

  • Consistent with Abt’s reputation for high-quality work, drive high-quality delivery through processes that extend beyond traditional testing and validation.

What We Value

  • Bachelor degree +15 years’ experience, Master degree +12 years’ experience, PHD + 10 years’ experience

  • At least 10 years of experience leading analytics organizations and managing project delivery teams, and at least 15 years of experience delivering analytics products to federal health-focused agencies.

  • Proven experience with client data modernization and digital transformation with a focus on federal health-focused clients like CMS, including experience in integrated solutions architecture design and deployment, as well as integration of automation and AI services.

  • Deep knowledge federal health-focused agencies’ data platform technologies, vendor ecosystems, and agency teams, like CMS’s Integrated Data Repository.

  • Proven experience managing analytics delivery teams in health-focused programs like CMS’s Innovation Center with a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.

  • Demonstrated ability to leverage program and client knowledge in support of sales enablement activities, demonstrated experience uncovering and resolving issues associated with meeting client needs.

  • Proven experience managing large analytics organizations focused on creating analytics code and data products in service of program evaluation, program implementation, technical assistance, and pureplay data science and digital projects.

  • Proven experience leading and growing high-utilization teams, including resource management, as well as mentoring and developing staff.

  • Proven experience with corporate data modernization and digital transformation activities, including continuous transformation of data platform technologies and enterprise change management. Specific experience in modernization of analytics tool stacks focused on research programming required, and experience managing curated data environments, including complex statistical methods required to integrate disparate sources of data, strongly preferred.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred

This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range of approximately $194,000.00 - $220,000.00 and may vary by ten percent depending on candidate geographic location. Salary offers are made based on internal equity and market analysis.
