Kforce Senior International / Federal Tax Accountant in Cambridge, Massachusetts

Kforce has a client in search of a Senior International/Federal Tax Accountant in Cambridge, Massachusetts (MA). The primary focus is to support the Tax Department to ensure timely and accurate completion of the Company's tax filings and related tax accounting. Responsibilities include:

  • Assist the Company's outside tax advisors in the preparation and filing of US federal, state, & local and international tax returns

  • Participate in federal, state, & local and international tax audits

  • Coordinate tax matters on cross-functional initiatives with other departments, locations, and business units to ensure proper compliance

  • Perform federal, state, & local and international tax research

  • Assist in responding to all domestic and international tax notices

  • Participate in federal, state & local and international tax matters including the preparation of transfer pricing documentation, transfer pricing calculations, tax planning and international office set-up

  • Assist the Manager, Domestic & International Taxes with the preparation of the Company's quarterly an annual tax provision work papers in accordance with ASC 740

  • Participate in the preparation of domestic and international audited financial statements

  • Assist the Tax Manager with the Company's expat program including working with outside tax preparers as well as assisting the Human Resource Department with tax related issues as they arise

  • Participate in special projects as required

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required, MST, or CPA a nice plus

  • Minimum of 3 years of corporate and/or public tax experience required

  • Must have knowledge of tax rules and regulations

  • Proficient with ASC 740 and experience preparing/reviewing tax provisions for multinational companies

  • Strong knowledge of Excel

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail are a must

  • Demonstrates a desire to learn and assume responsibility

  • Ability to collaborate in a cross functional team environment and be a strong communicator with the ability to interact with all levels of corporate staff and management

  • Ability to manage a broad range of activities and multi-task

  • Self-starter who can work independently as well as part of a team
