Title:
Software Application Developer
KBR, in support of the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center, located in Cambridge, MA has an immediate need for an innovative Software Developer with expertise in .NET technologies. The qualified candidates will be key contributors in adding functionality to and maintaining applications for the FAA. The position requires hands-on, detailed design and coding skills using the Microsoft .NET, a deep understanding and experience of UI design patterns and hands-on experience with HTML5 and JavaScript frameworks. The candidate should have knowledge of RESTful services and SQL. Candidate must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
Essential Job Functions
Design and develop web application using modern software development practices, including unit testing, continuous integration, and configuration management
Work as a member of large team including other developers, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and Project Manager interacting with related teams on new product development.
Create responsive user interface from provided UX design concepts
Integrate with Commercial off-the-shelf software products and configuration of third-party components
Able to deal comfortably with ambiguity in a change-driven development project
Required Technical Skills/Education:
This position requires United States residency for three of the last five years.
Must be able to be cleared for a position of Public Trust through the Department of Transportation
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred computer science, management information systems, or related field
3-5 years of software development experience using Microsoft .NET Framework and C# programming language
Good understanding and exposure to ASP.NET MVC framework
UI development experience utilizing HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript & CSS3 and bootstrap
Experience of development with JavaScript frameworks, especially Angular
Writing Stored Procedures targeting MS SQL Server
Creating and consuming REST API services, especially with WebAPI
Debugging and troubleshooting skills using Visual Studio IDE and other tools
Experience working with Microsoft Team Foundation server (TFS) / Azure DevOps Server or Git
Experience working with 3rd party UI controls such as Kendo UI forAngular
Software and Enterprise Design Patterns
Unit and end-to-end Testing
Preferred Technical Skills:
ASP.NET core
Experience developing applications targeting cloud platform utilizing Docker containers
Experience with Amazon Web Services
