In Azure Machine Learning we empower enterprise data scientists and full stack ML teams with a wide range of productive experiences to build, train and deploy machine learning models. The responsible AI engineering team develops the tools & systems needed to build and ship responsible and trustworthy AI-powered products and services.

Over the past few years, we have seen a proliferation of principles and draft regulations which articulate the need to prioritize issues like transparency, fairness, reliability, accountability, privacy and security. Microsoft and Customer Data Scientists and ML Engineers need the

tools and systems integrated with their ML lifecycle to uphold these principles and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities

We are looking for engineers to build state-of-the-art responsible AI tools with Microsoft and academic researchers and integrates those tools into Azure Machine Learning so customers can benefit from these tools in simple, repeatable, and high-quality workflows. In this role, you will work with other engineers and be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing new features, and delighting our customers with top quality and performance. This role participates deeply in all phases of the development cycle (design, development, validation).

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ or more years of experience with machine learning software development and tools, statistical modeling, and large scale analytics.

  • 3+ years of software development experience

  • A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical IT work experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree or Ph.D preferred

  • Strong skills in SQL, KQL, R, Python or related tools for analysis, data science and machine learning

  • Strong aptitude for analytical thinking, disciplined problem solving, and data analysis skills

  • Embrace diversity of thoughts and backgrounds and lead others to do the same

  • Good written and verbal communication

  • Experience in Microsoft Azure cloud technologies preferred

  • Experience of design and coding at system level independently

  • Experience of test driven, and data driven execution

  • Keen sense of customer focus, with an emphasis on listening to customer feedback and reacting to it.

  • Passionate, self-motivated, strong driving skills.
