Sr. Manager, Market Access Analytics

About the role:

Are you looking for a patient-focused, innovation-driven company that will inspire you and empower you to shine? Join us as the Sr. Manager, Market Access Analytics. This position is hybrid and can be located in either Cambridge, MA or Lexington, MA. This role involves managing key analytic responsibilities for products and initiatives as well as providing quantitative analytical support in relation to managed markets data, insights, and market access strategy decisions.

How you will contribute:

  • Assist with the development of key analyses providing strategic insight to senior leadership for decision making

  • Generate concise presentations outlining key findings of analyses that can be presented to brand leadership to help the decision making process

  • Independently analyze and understand claims datasets to develop an access story for both internal and external (competitor) products and market trends

  • The ability to convert analyses to actionable insights, articulate their meaning and/or implications and support decision making is critical to this position

  • Manage multiple complex projects (Stakeholder Management, Requirements Gathering, Business Objective Establishment, Analysis Design and Execution) for Strategic Analysis and Business Unit analysis simultaneously

  • Look across business unit and other franchises to find efficiencies and value in analytics and projects that can benefit other disease areas

  • Analytical lead may need to work closely with partners across market access, franchise insights teams, patient services, and commercial excellence Data Management and Reporting

  • Work with IT and internal data teams to communicate data requirements and aid in the purchase of and loading of data sets

  • Coordination with 3rd party vendors and internal partners as required to maintain validity and accuracy of data

  • Contribute to forecasting, business review processes, and business cases as needed

  • Internally, the position interacts heavily with the US Market Access Strategy Leads, US Market Access Commercial Account Team, brand/franchise leads, Commercial Operations, and Patient Services.

  • Externally, the position interacts with data suppliers (Komodo, Symphony, Fingertip Formulary, Policy Reporter, etc.) and other data/analytics vendors.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

REQUIRED:

  • Undergraduate degree with 5+ years of analytics experience in Pharmaceutical, Life Science, or Managed Care/Healthcare environment or Graduate degree with 3+ years of analytics experience in Pharmaceutical, Life Science, or Managed Care/Healthcare environment

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint

  • Fundamental understanding the implications of contract and market access strategies

  • Fundamental understanding of government and commercial drug policy environments

  • Ability to collaborate, listen, and anticipate individual needs of supported franchise

  • Knowledge of a variety of databases and software used to generate analytics and insights

  • The role requires management of multiple projects simultaneously as well as the ability to analyze complex data and provide summarized recommendations and guidance to appropriate business partners

  • The ideal candidate would enjoy working with data and be fueled by a curiosity to understand patterns and how they impact the overall business goals.

  • Demonstrated expertise in quantitative analysis

  • Strong ability to simultaneously manage multiple complex analytical projects

  • Strong communication skills, problem-solving skills, and business acumen

  • Relationship management skills to develop working partnerships in support of business units

  • Skills in database querying, manipulation, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Qlik, Databricks, etc.)

PREFERRED:

  • Prior Managed Care / Market Access or consulting experience

  • Working knowledge of pharmacy + medical claims and script data sets such as Komodo, Symphony, CMS

  • Experience with additional datasets including MMIT, DRG, Fingertip Formulary, specialty pharmacy, and patient service

  • Experience supporting launch brand analytics
