Vericel Corporation, a leader in advanced therapies for the sports medicine and severe burn care markets, has an exciting opportunity for a top performing Medical Affairs professional looking to join and contribute to a commercial stage company with an established portfolio of unique advanced cell therapies and specialty biologics. POSITION SUMMARY The Supply Planning and Outsourcing Specialist at Vericel Corporation is responsible for implementing and managing an S&OP process to ensure all commercial and clinical programs are planned appropriately and responsible for implementing and managing an outsourcing process and governance to ensure proper oversight of Vericel?s strategic supply partners. DUTIES S&OP Process: Lead and manage a comprehensive Sales and Operations Planning process and meetings to review clinical/commercial demand and supply. Define and review planning and inventory strategy for all relevant products and devices. Implement a set of KPI to support S&OP performance and drive accountability of the different stakeholders. CMO Management: Manage the Operational Execution of key strategic suppliers through extended S&OP and CMO oversight governance. Periodic performance review with the supplier. Manage deviation, drive CAPAs, change controls, SCARS as needed. Contract Management: Prepare, review, and negotiate a variety of supply related contracts. Collaborate with legal and business teams to ensure contract terms are in compliance with company policies and applicable laws. Oversee the entire lifecycle of contracts, from initiation through execution and renewal or termination. Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract documentation and records. Resolving contract-related disputes in collaboration with legal and other relevant departments. Help implement strategies to avoid potential disputes and conflicts. DSCSA compliance program: System owner for DSCSA related activities including Tracelink system ownership. Responsible for exception handling process. Product Planning: Owns the inventory and production plan for several key items. QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor\'s degree in law, business or a related field; advance degree is preferred. Supply Chain certification(s) (e.g., CSCP, CPIM, SCOR-P, CPM, etc.). Minimum of 7-10 years practical experience in Materials Planning and Purchasing. Demonstrated record of career progression within field. Proficient with budget, forecasting and materials management. Experience working in a CGMP/FDA regulated environment. Demonstrated expertise with ERP systems, 3PL and CMO oversight. Experience with compliant serialization in an FDA DSCSA environment. Highly effective and professional communication and negotiation skills with employees and supplier representatives. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS Travel of up to 10% expected Ability to gown and gain entry to manufacturing areas. May be required to stand for long periods of time while performing physical duties. Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
