Additional Qualifications:BA preferred along with 1-3 years of prior administrative experience
Meticulous eye for detail; ability to accurately assess problems and develop solutions; and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Prior advanced knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and/or databases.
Passion for improving public education; experience working with finance and/or operations in an education setting; and strong proofreading talents.

Department:CEPRPre-Employment Screening:Identity Schedule:Mon-Friday 7Xper day (35 Hours per week)Job Function:General Administration Job-Specific Responsibilities:The Center for Education Policy Research at Harvard University is founded on the belief that if we want to dramatically improve educational outcomes for all children, evidence must play a critical role.
The Strategic Data Project (SDP) is a program run by the Center for Education Policy Research that recruits, selects, and trains researchers and data strategists to make a difference with data in education agencies. The program runs multiple in-person workshops at Harvard and across the country each year, helping education organizations uncover disparities, develop strategies, and measure solutions.
The Project Assistant provides administrative support to the Strategic Data Project team, helping to organize travel booking for our Fellows and Fellow applicants, manage processing of financial transactions, and contribute to the successful organization and execution of workshops and virtual events that are part of the Strategic Data Project programs.
(90%) SDP Responsibilities
Provide assistance to the SDP Education team, who oversee workshop logistics and fellows.
Track and oversee travel booking for bimonthly workshops held across the country, including the submission of travel invoices for corporate card payment and reimbursement processing.
Provide financial processing and operations support for SDP staff.
Arrange regular webinars and working group calls for SDP Fellows.
Maintain fellowship access to its Canvas site, and manage SDP contact lists
(10%) Other CEPR Responsibilities
- Provide general SDP team and CEPR office support as needed
This is a one year term appointment, with the possibility of continuation.
