Additional Information:

Compensation Range (hourly rate): Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity. Generally new hires can expect compensation between the minimum and midpoint of the range.

Essential Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Answers the main ODE phone line.

  • Schedules appointments for the Deans and Directors in the ODE.

  • Does administrative tasks for the Deans and Directors in the ODE.

  • Manages the School-wide room booking system and policies.

  • Organizes parking and catering for ODE meetings and events.

  • Tracks ODE committee meeting dates and sends reminders.

  • Manages distribution of lockers and mailboxes

  • Orders and distributes student MBTA passes.

  • Helps Curriculum Services with room booking, communications, curriculum feedback and other duties.

  • Handles office mail and deliveries.

  • Helps with standardized exams and exam accommodations.

  • Supports the school’s accreditation process.

  • Updates ODE section of HSDM website.

  • Orders office supplies and stationery.

  • Contributes to the mission and vision of HSDM and models the School’s core values in all facets of the work.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Job Summary:

The Student Affairs Staff Assistant supports the administrative and clerical needs of the Director of Student Affairs, Faculty, Administrative Staff, and Students. The Office of Dental Education (ODE) Staff Assistant works full-time and on-site and is the first point of contact for visitors and inquiries.

This is a 6-month term position from date of hire.

Work Format:On-Site Work Format Details:This position is based primarily on-campus, in Massachusetts. This may include in-person during emergency situations (if applicable).
