The GPU Development Engineer position provides the successful candidate with an immediate opportunity to be involved with the development of innovative technology that is helping to save lives, improve patient outcomes and reduce the cost of healthcare across the globe. As a part of the Ultrasound Business Group Platform Engineering team, you will be challenged to create a new generation of GPU-based solutions for advanced ultrasound imaging.

You are responsible for

In this role as a GPU Development Engineer, you will design, implement, and test ultrasound components that will be part of the overall imaging system. You will be working closely with acoustic, hardware, software and other GPU engineers to architect and implement advanced algorithm prototypes for optimized real-time GPU implementations.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following

  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, MS or PhD preferred

  • 3+ years of experience with CUDA and/or OpenCL

  • Basic knowledge of signal processing techniques and/or scientific computing

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interface in a cross-disciplinary manner, including engineers, product managers, and clinical specialists

  • Self-motivated individual with good organizational and time management skills

Preferred

  • Fundamental knowledge of image processing or machine learning

  • Programming experience in Matlab

  • Hands-on experience in implementing signal/image processing algorithms and/or numerical methods

  • Parallel programming algorithms and techniques

  • Familiarity with medical devices and/or working in a regulated environment

  • Experience with developing, profiling and optimizing GPU kernels for performance
